£400 Raised for children in need
Beech House held a non-uniform day and cake sale on Children in Need Day 2006. Year 2 children were the shopkeepers and sold cakes to the other children. It was a dual purpose event - partly to raise money for charity but also to give the children a chance to do real shopping with small coins – a maths exercise.
Over £200 was raised through the children not coming in uniform and the rest was raised through the sale of cakes. Beech House staff also entered a competition to win cakes baked by celebrity parents.
