French is taught throughout the Junior School by a native speaker from Dijon.

 

In Years 3-5 the emphasis is on vocabulary. In Year 6 some basic grammar is introduced enabling the girls to progress into the Senior School with confidence and a good grounding in the language.

 

Lessons are conducted orally with the emphasis on a fun, interactive approach.
