christmas celebration helps sponsor a child

This year the Junior School at Bolton School Girls' Division decided to offer something different from the traditional nativity play and held an "All About the World” Christmas celebration.  All 200 pupils were involved in looking at how Christmas is celebrated around the world and the audience of parents and teachers was whisked from Europe to Mexico to Asia.  Girls played flutes and recorders and sang and the performance culminated with a rousing version of Band Aid's Do They Know It's Christmas?

The money raised at the event, £645, will be spent on sponsoring a child in Africa.  This will become an annual event and the money raised each year will go towards continually sponsoring the African child.
