Frog sale benefits charity!
Rebecca Calderbank of the Girls' Junior School has raised £160 through selling toy frogs to her classmates. Half of the total raised has gone to the Royal Preston Hospital, where her grandfather received treatment for a brain tumour. The other half of the money raised was given to Bolton Hospice, where he died in December 2006. The money will go towards the Garden of Tranquillity Appeal which aims to transform the Hospice"s rundown gardens.
Her proud mum, Helen, said: "It was a lovely thing to do. We wanted to do all we could for the hospice because what they do is important and the staff there are amazing. It’s a great appeal and the gardens will benefit patients and their families during what can be a very difficult time.”
