  • Sports Festival: this is an annual event held over two days.  In 2007 it involved over 360 pupils from 33 local primary schools.  There is a wide range of sporting activities and prizes are handed out by celebrities.  More details here

  • Science Festival: this is an annual event and in 2007 thirty three local primary schools attended Bolton School for the day.  There are a number of practical activities designed to stretch and inspire gifted young pupils - click here for more details

  • Science visits: senior students will visit up to 20 schools to help with science clubs
     
  • The Crusader Cup: an annual Five-a-side Football Competition for local Junior Schools organised by the School's soccer coach and ex-professional, Mr Keith Brannigan.  Learn more about this competition by clicking here.  Mr Brannigan also visits local primary schools to teach soccer skills.
     
  • Our Online Mathematics Challenge tests the KS2 knowledge of Year 5 and Year 6 pupils.  The quiz takes place online and pupils have their efforts marked by our Mathematics Department - click here for more details

  • Local Primaries' Newspaper Challenge: six local primaries are tutored by our own pupils on how to produce and design a school newspaper - click here for details

  • Art support - 2 staff/12 students to Our Lady of Lourdes

  • Boys' Division - various individual events supporting primary schools eg 10 students visiting a school to help with an "Art Day"
     
  • Junior Boys' joint concert – 2 schools per year in Great Hall

  • Music workshops: one primary school per year joins a workshop with our Year 7 students
     
  • visits to local schools to perform musical recitals

  • Girls' Division Food Technology maintains links with local primary schools via a Year 7 Lunch scheme for Head teachers and teachers

  • Sixth Form volunteers (Girls' Division) undertake work in three local primary schools
