it's opening night for little shop of horrors

A cast of 30 pupils from both the Boys' and the Girls' Division are set to star in the smash-hit Broadway musical Little Shop of Horrors.  Tonight, Tuesday 4 March 2008, is opening night and the show will run for 5 nights in the School’s Arts Centre, all of which are sold out.

Students have been rehearsing since last September and many other pupils have been involved in designing the costumes and sets.  Mr Richard Eastham, the production’s Producer, commented: "if you include the designers and band, which is made up of students and staff, there are around 70 people involved with putting on the show.  There are some very talented students in the play.  A number of the band members are actually musical directors for amateur operatic societies."
