The annual Boys' Division Autumn Concert put smiles on faces and lifted everyone out of the gloom of an autumnal evening.

The concert saw over 400 performers take part in a wonderful and varied evening of music.  The School samba band provided a raucous introduction, which was followed by a range of pieces by the Joint Concert Band, the Percussion Ensemble, Guitar Group, the Jazz Band and the Joint Chamber Choir. 

Two local primary schools were also invited to take part - Devonshire Road Primary School and Gilnrow Primary School.  The evening ended with a rock medley performed by Year 6 pupils from these schools and Year 8 of Bolton School Boys' Division.  The rock medley included numbers by Robbie Williams, R Kelly, Green Day, Maroon 5 and Queen.  The Great Hall shook as the audience stamped their feet and clapped their hands, calling back the performers for a final encore. 

Mr Stephen Martin, Head of Music in the Boys’ Division was delighted with the evening and said, "thanks goes to the eighteen Music teachers who have helped make this evening such a success!”
