Ben Monks, a Year 11 pupil, has taken part in the National Schools' Sailing Regatta held in the summer at Carsington Water in Derbyshire.  He competed in a Laser as a member of the Lancashire School Sailing Team.  The team had a training week on Lake Windermere before travelling to Derbyshire for the event.  The National Schools Regatta is one of the largest sailing events in the country with over 300 participants.  County teams from across the country compete in this event.

 

Ben also competed in a Laser at the Lancashire Schools' sailing regatta held in September and finished fourth overall.

 

Year 8 boy, Andrew Green, has also enjoyed recent sailing success and has been selected for the National Junior Topper squad.
