Dinner celebrates Rugby Success

A fundraising dinner was held at the Arts Centre on 13 October 2007 attended by over one hundred Old Boltonian rugby players and guests.

The assembled gathering enjoyed excellent organic beef donated by Mr C Forster, father of Jack Forster, ex School Captain and 1st XV player 2002-05, outstanding wine supplied by T Wrights of Horwich, and of course, the England Victory over France in the World Cup Semi Final.

The Dinner was held to raise funds and awareness of the forthcoming tour to South Africa in July 2008, and to celebrate the achievement of present and future Old Boltonian rugby players. The diners left the Arts Centre and continued the evening at the Bolton Beer Festival held at the Howcroft Inn in the company of Mr Clive Nightingale another accomplished Old Boltonian, and there was much talk of making such a dinner an annual event.
