Old Boy, Jack Forster, has been called up to the England Saxons team

Old boy's england call-up

Ex-Bolton School boy, Jack Forster, has been called up to the England Saxons squad, the country's second national rugby union team.   He will take part in the Churchill Cup competition against the full national teams of Canada and the United States.

Mr Caspar Joseph, Head of Sixth Form and First-Team Rugby Coach at Bolton School, said: "We are delighted for Jack.  He was a truly outstanding Head Boy at Bolton School.  He was a talented all-round sportsman and, even to this day, is still the President of the Bolton School Angling Club.  Academically he was also very gifted, securing 10A* or As in his GCSEs and two As and a B at A Level.  The call-up for the Saxons will help further develop his game, as well as give him international experience.  It's an opportunity for him to showcase his talents further - the next step is to perform at Test level for the England first team."

Since leaving Bolton School, Jack has signed for Gloucester Rugby Club and is about to complete a degree from the University of West England.  He has played rugby for England at the Under-16 and Under-18 levels.
