Alex Wotherspoon, The Apprentice finalist, has been praised by his old school, Bolton School. Mr Mervyn Brooker, Headmaster of the Boys' Division, said: "Alex is remembered here for his interest and enthusiasm for the commercial world. It is no surprise that his initiative and entrepreneurial spirit took him to the final of The Apprentice and that he performed so well. I am sure a very successful business career lies ahead of him."
Alex's old Business Studies teacher, Mr Martin Wadsworth, said: “We are very proud of Alex - he was the youngest ever finalist and there was no doubting his ability to sell. At school, he came into his own in Business Studies in particular, showing real flair and becoming especially good at applying theory and principles to problem solving. We wish him all the best for the future.”
The School is in discussion with Alex about coming back in the Autumn to talk to Sixth Formers about entrepreneurship.
