second place in team maths challenge
Bolton School Boys' Division has recorded a very respectable second place finish in the Greater Manchester regional round of the UK Mathematics Trust's Team Maths Challenge.
Thirty two teams from schools across the region took part in the competition which was held at Manchester University on 3 March. Teams consisted of two Year 8 and two Year 9 pupils - and the Boys’ Division team was made up of Neel Jain and Ankit Mishra from Year 8 and Philip Boyle and Richard Edmond from Year 9. The boys competed in four tough rounds in which their mathematical skills were tested to the limit. Their second place finish out of 32 teams was an admirable achievement.
