Welcome to Bolton School Girls' Division's website.
At Bolton School we place a high value on academic achievement but also aim to educate the whole person and encourage success in every sphere. We welcome bright, well-motivated girls who are keen to learn.
Our last inspection found us to be "a very special school” and I believe this to be true. We provide a broad curriculum and expect girls to take advantage of the many extra-curricular activities that are open to them. Our joint foundation with the Boys' Division means that we can also provide a wide range of shared activities and facilities whilst enjoying all the advantages of a single sex education.
This is a friendly place, where girls of all ages and backgrounds mix comfortably and learn tolerance and understanding. In this happy and secure environment, every girl is valued and encouraged to do her best so that she develops into a confident and articulate young woman ready to take her place in the adult world.
Choosing the right school is one of the most important decisions you will make. On our website we can only give you a glimpse of the life pupils enjoy in the Girls' Division. In order to really appreciate Bolton School you need to visit us, either on Open Morning or during term time when our girls will be delighted to give you a private tour of the School.
