The annual Ceremony of Carols put everyone in the Christmas Spirit. 

Mrs Richards, the Headmistress, welcomed a large audience to the Great Hall and the Chamber Choir opened the evening up with In Dulci Jubilo before everyone joined in with O Come, O Come Emmanuel.  The Middle School Choir and the Senior School Choir performed admirably and there were several seasonal readings from pupils.  Audience participation was very much encouraged and there were stirring renditions of Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, O Little Town of Bethlehem and O Come, All Ye Faithful.  Mrs Richards read prayers and the evening culminated with the Chamber Choir's rendition of In the Bleak Mid-Winter.

There was a collection in aid of The Bolton Hospice and Multiple Sclerosis before everyone retired to the Dining Room for Christmas refreshments.
