Bolton School Girls' Division has been awarded the coveted Artsmark by Arts Council England in recognition of its commitment to the arts.
The Artsmark certificate was presented to Miss Jane Fazackerley, Head of Art in the Girls' Division, at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall on 11 June. Miss Fazackerley said: "the School is delighted to accept this award, it recognises all the hard work, expertise and skill that goes into delivering our arts programme.”
The award is given in recognition of the School’s work in the fields of Art, Dance, Drama and Music. The School applied for the accreditation and it was inspected by the National Arts Council.
The award lasts for three years but the School is already looking to apply for the next level up - the Artsmark Silver Award. Watch this space!
