High Rankings In Best Schools’ League Tables

2007 saw the School's best ever Advanced Level examination results and some exceptional GCSE results.  These excellent results mean the Girls' Division has been highly ranked in the www.best-schools.co.uk national and comprehensive league tables.  The following positions have been attained:

57th in the Best Schools’ Top 100 Senior Schools table

95th in the Top 100 Senior Schools by UCAS Tariffs table

65th in the Top 100 Senior Schools A and B Grades at A Level table

54th in the Top 100 Senior Schools by A and A* Grades at GCSE Level table

At A Level the pass rate was 100% with no E grades at all.  A staggering 87% of entries were graded A or B and 61.3% were graded A.  A third of the cohort gained 3, 4 or 5 A grades; only one in thirty students nationally achieve this.

At GCSE, 78.8% of entries were graded A* or A, of which 41.7% were A*.  The pass rate A*-C was 99.7%.  Ten girls achieved all A* grades.

These excellent results placed the School firmly in the First Division of Schools.  Depending upon which broadsheet you read, the Girls’ Division has been ranked as 64th, 54th or 39th best school in the country.
