girls' division's tennis success

The Under 14s team has won the Tennis Lancashire competition making them county champions.  They beat Manchester High School for Girls in the final by four sets to love.

The Under 13s team is also progressing well in the Nestle Tournament.  They have been crowned champions in the Bolton area and have also won a regional round against Nelson Thomlinson School from Carlisle, who they beat by six sets to love.  They will meet either Arnold or Rochdale School in the next regional round.

Natasha Lomas, aged 12 and in Year 8, who is part of both teams has also had a very successful summer.  On 9 August she won the Wigan Open U16s girls doubles with her partner Emily Harper.  On 31 August she was a finalist in the Lancashire County Championship U18 mixed doubles with Oliver Preston (aged 15), also from Bolton School.  When all the current results are processed by the LTA, Natasha should move up to the top 150 players in the country and top 10 in the county by the end of September.
