Emma Saunders broke Bolton Schools' records in the 50m Freestyle and the Butterfly

swim team are town champions

The Girls' Division Swim Team has performed outstandingly at the Bolton Town Championships.

 

In the Junior Competition, the Girls' Division were overall winners for the third consecutive year.  Emma Saunders broke Bolton Schools’ records in the 50m Freestyle (27.89 seconds) and the Butterfly (32.30 seconds).  Mrs McCulloch, who coaches the Senior School Swimming Team, commented: "these are exceptional times for a 12 year old.”

 

The Intermediate team were also overall winners in their competition.  The team won the Freestyle and Medley categories and Jennifer Whitehead won the 50m Back Stroke race.

 

The Senior team recorded an overall position of second place.  Notable achievements included the Freestyle team winning their category and Rachel Hildyard winning the 50m Freestyle.
