Annual Fund Appeal 2009-10

This year's Annual Fund appeal has been sent to all parents, Old Boys and Old Girls and is designed to raise enough to support our bursary fund and a range of exciting projects across the entire School that cannot be covered by the main budget. Participation is the key - every gift will make a difference no matter the size, please consider giving whatever you can.

Find out more about the different ways you can donate to the School's Annual Fund appeal this year. Your gift will be allocated strictly according to your preference and the projects we want to fund this year include:

  • Bursary Support

Providing talented young people who are restricted by their means with much needed bursary support remains our top priority. Currently, one in every six of our senior school pupils receives some sort of bursary assistance, but in the current unsettled economic climate it is crucial we look to increase the available assistance as much as we can.

  • Senior and Junior Boys

This year, the Boys' Division donations will be put towards a new 'In residence at Bolton School fund'. This will allow the boys to invite numerous prestigious professionals, for example artists, musicians, business figures, eminent scientists and authors to visit the school to conduct seminars, master classes or workshops, enriching our extra curricular programme of activities. The opportunity to meet such a variety of successful individuals will inspire the boys and crucially will encourage them to develop their own ambitions for the future.

Park Road is hoping the Annual Fund will raise money towards an outside classroom including new plants, planters, bird boxes, a living willow area and new seating.

  • Senior and Junior Girls

The Girls' Division have requested funding to improve the sound equipment in the Great Hall. This would allow them to make better use of the Hall during their performances, concerts and Speech Day. Donations will go towards the purchase of a new mixing desk and speakers ans also an induction loop to allow grandparents, Old Girls and those with hearing difficulties to also fully enjoy their visits to the School.

All donations to Junior Girls this year will help fund the landscaping of their new playground including a planting area (with a vegetable patch and garden) for outdoor lessons, a log cabin, a seating area and some new playtime equipment.

  • Beech House

With support from the Annual Fund, Beech House would like to add a sand and water station to their already exciting playground.
