Bolton School boasts some magnificent facilities.
The School combines 500 years of tradition with state-of-the-art
equipment. The Senior Boys' and Girls' Schools are housed in
an attractive, listed building of pink sandstone and oak interiors
and both have their own impressive Great Halls, libraries, Sixth
Form Common Rooms and spacious wood-panelled hallways and
corridors. Each school utilises the very latest technological
equipment including interactive whiteboards, technology suites with
CAD equipment, music suites, art studios, theatres, science
laboratories, computer rooms with internet access in addition to
PCs in classrooms. They share our award-winning Careers'
Department.
As all our schools are situated within our attractive 32 acre
wooded campus they benefit from our site's many joint facilities,
including the Arts Complex, a Sports Hall, the comprehensive
gymnasium in the Tillotson Pavilion, a 25 metre swimming pool, a
climbing wall, extensive sports fields as well as the
Leverhulme Sports Pavilion and its adjoining tennis and netball
courts. Pupils also enjoy our out-of-school and holiday
club, Kidzone.
Off-campus, pupils make use of our own outdoor pursuits facility
at Patterdale Hall on the shores of Lake
Ullswater in the Lake District and of the School's 60ft yacht, Tenacity
of Bolton.
In June 2009, infants moved into their new £5m school.
In November 2009, the Junior Boys' School celebrated the
completion of a £1.5 building project which saw a new extension
being built and extensive refurbishments.
In September 2010 Junior Girls moved into their state-of-the art
new school.
