Former Bolton School pupil Sian Pledger has won the senior
women's 200m at the North of England Indoor Championships which
were held in Sheffield.
Sian ran an excellent race to easily take the gold with her time
of 25.42, and this wasn't her only success of the Championships, as
she also took the part in the senior women's 60m where she managed
to take the bronze medal.

Sian has also been selected for the Manchester team to take part
in the McCain City Challenge - a nationwide, City Team based
athletic competition in which eight teams from Glasgow to
London and Newcastle to Cardiff compete across two League
matches to fight for the title of MCC Champions 2011. Sian
will run the 60m in the first match on the 6th February in
Sheffield, with the possibility of being selected for the second
match which will be held on the 26th February 2011 in
Cardiff.
