"Personally I attribute a significant part of my success to my Bolton School education and the superb foundation it provided. It is the reason why I am so keen to come back and work with the School. "

Former Pupil Teddy Wins 100m US Freestyle Swim Race

Sunday, 26 February 2017

Teddy Pender, who left Bolton School in 2014 to study at Bates College, Maine, enjoyed success at the recent New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Swimming Championship meet in Middletown, Connecticut. Competing in the 100m freestyle title on the final evening of the Championships, Teddy swam out of his skin to clinch first place.

He can be watched in this video here. Teddy is in the middle lane wearing a red Bates College cap. The film also shows the wonderful reaction of the Bates’ coaching staff and Teddy’s teammates after the win.

Going forward, Teddy is ranked 10th in both the 50m and 100m freestyle events for the national NCAA Championship meet scheduled for mid-March in Shenandoah, Texas.
