Barry is selling copies of his book, Please Adjust Your Dress, in aid of the Bursary Fund.
The book was reviewed in the Autumn 2012 edition of the Bugle:
"After leaving School, Barry followed a career in insurance and finance. He writes in a lively way about his membership of a very successful school swimming team, satirically about work and life in the office and colourfully about travel. The last page of the book shows him writing, 'sitting under the shade of an old wisteria somewhere in France'. His career was initiated through the encouragement of Mr C M Mills, careers master and maths teacher, who is briefly and affectionately portrayed with especial reference to his means of instilling the theorem of Pythagoras. Barry’s presentation of his earlier life at home and at primary school is more detailed - events in Walkden and holidays in Blackpool during the 'forties and 'fifties are vividly re-created and there are photographs which illustrate moments in the life of his family. His affection for his family and friends is apparent, as is his love of language, in his engaging record of childhood perplexities. Friendships throughout life led to the further accumulation of anecdotes characterised by a very distinctive humour."
Please Adjust Your Dress by Barry Morris, Appin Press, ISBN 978 1 90625 43 0, costs £9.99, with £3 from each copy sold donated to the School's Bursary Fund
