The whole of the Bolton School Foundation came together to organise the Foundation Family Festival as part of the School’s 100 and 500 year celebrations. The Parents’ Associations worked together to produce a spectacular afternoon of fun.
Throughout the afternoon, Bolton School’s Catering department provided sustenance in the form of a barbecue outside the Junior Girls’ School. Staff and Sixth Form helpers at the barbecue were kept busy throughout the afternoon with the queue never seeming to disappear, no matter how many customers they served!
Those who had pre-booked could also enjoy Afternoon Tea in the Leverhulme Suite of the Riley Centre, which was also arranged by the School’s Catering staff and served by Sixth Form girls. This extra treat offered a lovely platter of finger sandwiches, miniature cakes, and of course scones, along with the choice of tea or coffee.
The Catering department’s dedication to the barbecue and Afternoon Teas really helped to add a special flair to the Family Festival, and kept everyone energised throughout the day.
