We aim to encourage a love of books and stories in all our
children. Parents and teachers work together to help the children
in the early stages of independent reading. We provide many
opportunities for children to read and write, speak and listen as
part of their role play - they write prescriptions for sick animals
in the vet's surgery, menus for the Chinese restaurant and shopping
lists for the garden centre. They design and make seed packets and
write instructions about how to make pet carriers.
