Knowledge and Understanding of the World

At Beech House, we give the children a wide range of stimulating resources and activities to experience. They play indoors and outdoors, finding out about the world they live in through independent investigation and guided exploration. As they play, they acquire the skills and language they need to extend their learning and solve problems. They learn about others and how to work with them.

Real experiences include trips to local shops, garden centres or places of worship while the role play area changes from baby clinic to vet's surgery and from cave to aeroplane.
