We help to develop Mathematical understanding through stories,
songs, games and play activities. Our children use numbers in real
situations and solve real problems both indoors and outdoors. They
sort, count, measure and create patterns using a wide variety of
objects and they investigate problems, recording their findings in
their own individual way.
While playing with a toy farm, they might find out how many
sheep are left in the field when the farmer takes two away in the
trailer.
Before constructing a boat for their bear to sail in, the
children weigh and measure the bear to help them work out an
appropriate design.
