"When I return to Bolton School to talk to pupils about entrepreneurship, my message is to 'go for it'. This is an attitude that I had instilled in me during my time at the school where my curiosity was fuelled and I became interested in ideas."

Physical Education

Specialist PE teachers provide a varied programme of games and gymnastics activities twice a week. The children learn to move across the floor and simple apparatus with increasing control. They develop the skills needed for team games and enjoy simple competitive games in pairs and small groups.

Year 1 children also take part in a dance/drama activity led by Beech House staff while Year 2 children have a weekly swimming lesson with members of the P.E. Department. A Swimming Gala is held in the summer term with activities to suit all levels of ability.

Our Sports Day is a combination of a few competitive events, some team events and some "just for fun" activities. The children enjoy traditional races, working together to keep a ball on the parachute or throwing a foam javelin.

'I love PE because I like balancing on the benches and sliding down them. I'm very good at throwing and catching a ball now.'
