"The best thing I can say of the school was that it worked. It embedded in me habits of reading and thinking as well as an enduring curiosity about just about everything."

Enterprise for Children in Need

Friday, 13 November 2015

Beech House held an Enterprise Week to raise money for Children in Need. The children took part in lots of different activities over the course of the week, and also enjoyed an Enterprise Day when they worked together with other year groups.

The children decided on their own company names and then planned, created and marketed a product: a fabulous greetings card for all Valentines, whatever the age!

One of the Reception classes enjoyed baking biscuits to sell to parents during Enterprise Week. Their sale raised £54 for Children in Need.

In addition to the Enterprise Week, the children also held a spectacular Pudsey Bear Children in Need Sale, where even the lollipops were ‘super’. The boys and girls running the stall were all a little nervous just before the doors opened and the first customers rushed in, but not for long. They all had great fun and raised £270 in the end – a great achievement!

Overall, Beech House raised over £850 for Children in Need through various activities.
