"The best thing I can say of the school was that it worked. It embedded in me habits of reading and thinking as well as an enduring curiosity about just about everything."

Guitar Group Inspires Beech House

Tuesday, 30 April 2013

The Park Road Guitar Group, directed by Paul Fowles, gave a truly inspiring performance to the Year 2 pupils at Beech House.

There was an air of excitement as Beech House pupils recognised some of the guitarists who had previously been pupils of the school before moving to Park Road.

The ensemble is a tight unit which makes a very good sound and the year 2 classroom was a perfect size for the acoustic guitars to make an impact.

There were two very impressive solo performances given by Nikhil Maini and Jude Ashcroft and the ensemble played three items, finishing with what has become their signature tune the ‘Albanian Bucket Dance’ allegedly a tribute to guitar tutor Mr Gjylaci who is originally from Albania.
