"One mum in a family with three generations of Boltonian men said, 'You can't better this school - it's belting', and we are inclined to agree. "

Nurse

We have four Nursery Nurses at Beech House. They take it in turn to look after children in need of first aid or comfort when unwell. They refer children to one of our two school nurses when necessary. Throughout the school term, Nurse is available to care for children who are injured or ill and to advise staff and parents on medical matters.

Reception children are weighed and measured by Nurse and eye tests are carried out by the Bolton Orthoptic Department. Year 1 children have hearing tests in school.

I remember when I fell over and there was blood on my knee and a stone inside my hand. I started to cry so someone took me to Nurse. She cleaned my knee and rubbed a special cream on my hand.
