"Bolton School was such a large part of my life. I can safely say that I would not be doing what I do for a living if it wasn’t for the vibrant arts scene at the school and the encouragement that I was given."

Neil Eckersley, Former Pupil and Theatre Producer

Music

Music plays a large part in the life of the Junior School, with each form being taught in a well-equipped, specialised music room.  All boys receive tuition in recorder, and have small group courses in violin, woodwind, brass and percussion instruments.

Several music groups and choirs contribute to our annual Carol Service and concerts throughout the year. Every pupil has the opportunity to take part in the annual Junior School Music Festival.

Many pupils have individual music lessons for a variety of instruments throughout the year and some pupils have achieved a very high standard.

I like the music circus because you can try out new instruments.
