The Boys' Junior Department teaching staff is comprised of 10
highly experienced and dedicated teachers who all have their own
subject specialism together with two part-time support staff; this
has resulted in a high level of expertise, creating a broad and
rich curriculum shaped to reflect the ethos, aims and values of
Bolton School.
We are an extremely hardworking team who recognise and support
each other's unique input in to the Junior School curriculum.
All teaching staff emphasise a positive attitude to work and
other individuals, offering encouragement when a pupil struggles to
understand as well as when he has performed well or has worked
especially hard.We prioritise independence in learning and the
acquisition of life-long learning skills in an environment of
excellence.Over the course of a boy's time in the Junior School he
will be taught by all the members of the staff team.
The form teacher is the person of central importance in the life
of any single pupil offering friendship and support as well as
presenting a clear disciplinary response when necessary.
Regular staff discussion ensures a high level of pastoral care is
achieved.
Our well qualified staff provide a disciplined and caring
environment where the boys develop as considerate individuals able
to move forward into secondary education with confidence.
