The aims of the programme are for all boys to enjoy taking part
in physical exercise and to acquire physical skills to the best of
their ability. The fostering of co-operation in a team
situation and the correct spirit of competition is also seen as
very important. Lessons take place both on the Junior and Senior
School sites.
PE includes gymnastics, cross country running, basketball,
health related fitness and athletics in the Summer Term. Sport
lessons are mainly Soccer with the introduction of tag rugby with
cricket in the summer term.
The aim of swimming lessons is to teach non-swimmers to swim and
become confident in water, to develop good stroke technique and
personal survival skills in all boys.
