Boys Celebrate Chinese New Year at Concert

Friday, 13 February 2015

As part of the Junior Boys’ Mandarin Chinese studies, Year 3 pupils attended the Confucius Institute New Year Gala Concert at the Royal Northern College of Music, where they were immersed in Chinese culture.

During the course of the concert, the boys were treated to displays of lion dancing, acrobatics and juggling. Some boys were able to join in Kung Fu training after watching demonstrations of skill and strength, while others tried their hands at rug spinning. Pupils and teachers alike were amazed by the balancing acts and expert juggling skills on show!

Further pictures can be seen on the Year 3 blog here.
