"Bravo to all at the School, and heartiest thanks for their genuine devotion to our children and their futures. If there were to be one example for all schools to be modelled upon, Bolton School would be the natural choice."

League Win for Chess Team

Thursday, 16 October 2014

Park Road hosted the first round of the Bolton Primary Schools Chess League. The Junior Boys’ Chess Team played their first matches of the year against a range of local schools, including the Junior Girls’ School. The boys played two games each.

Of the six boys playing, five won both of their games, and the sixth won one and drew the other. This gave the boys a very commanding lead of 11½ points out of a possible 12, meaning that they won the trophy for this round of the League competition!

There is one round each half term, so the boys are now looking forward and hoping to build on this excellent start.
