"While at school I had so many opportunities to participate in both the Senior Choir and Chamber Choir, and the Music Department regularly held informal concerts which were fantastic opportunities to perform."

Musical Masterclass with The Pop Project

Friday, 15 January 2016

Junior Boys from Years 5 and 6 and Junior Girls in Year 6 were thoroughly entertained by The Pop Project’s ‘Understanding Music’ show. Using popular music throughout the decades, the Pop Project introduced and gave examples of lots of different musical terms while working their way forward through history.

As well as learning more about musical vocabulary, the girls and boys were able to experience a wide variety of instruments, artists and styles. During the ninety minute show, pupils sang, danced, and listened to hits from Cliff Richards, T-Rex, Bob Marley, Take That, Katy Perry and many more!

With recordings, video clips, lots of live performance, and plenty of opportunities to join in, the visit from The Pop Project was a fantastic treat. It also helped the girls and boys to learn more about music while having a great time.
