Sefton Triathlon Winners

Saturday, 01 July 2006

Bolton School Junior Boys' Division was the overall winner of the Junior School Boys' title at this year's Sefton Triathlon event.

The under 9s team winners were Lewis Daly, Sam Hart and Harrison Keane, while the under 11s team comprised Andrew Keat, Hugh Casey and Jonathan Morant. Daly and Keat were also individual champions in their respective year groups.

The triathlon provides a gruelling test of physical fitness as competitors swim, cycle and run. Prizes were handed out to the boys by Sir Steve Redgrave on presentation day.

More than 1,000 competitors were joined by Olympians Stephen Parry, Steve Smith and Steve Cummings to raise more than £25,000 for Alder Hey Children's Hospital and make this year's Sefton Triathlon the biggest yet.
