"The best thing I can say of the school was that it worked. It embedded in me habits of reading and thinking as well as an enduring curiosity about just about everything."

Seniors Entertain Juniors

Monday, 13 March 2017

A lunchtime audience of fifty junior boys at Bolton School enjoyed a concert performed by four senior boys, three of whom were former pupils at the junior school and all of whom were winners of their sections in the recent Senior School Young Musician of the Year competition.

The pupils performed a varied programme of music. Jude Ashcroft began the concert playing “Pastorale” on the classical guitar. He was followed by Alfie Inkster who played “Spanish Dance” on the piano and then Matthew Kay who sang “I Can’t Make You Love Me” while accompanying himself on the piano. Matthew was the overall winner of the Senior section of the Young Musician competition. The concert ended with James Stevens playing the electric guitar, much to the delight of the enthusiastic young audience!
