"Reluctantly, I wait for the holidays to come. I love coming to school. I am still doing cross country...the reason why I started was because Jessica Ennis inspired me."

Young Entrepreneurs Raise Funds for Cancer Research

Monday, 07 July 2014

A group of Year 6 boys have had a productive month at Park Road, raising a grand total of £776.15 for charity!

They have all taken part in a Young Entrepreneur project designed to introduce them to some key business skills, including preparing a business plan, sourcing their product, considering their profit margin, marketing their product and organising sales. The five groups had very diverse ideas: one group made and sold para cord bracelets in Park Road colours; another designed and published a recipe book. There were also various stalls, one selling toys, one drinks, and one snacks.

All of the groups successfully made a healthy profit with their ideas. The winning group chose to donate the funds raised to Cancer Research.

Well done to all of the boys who took part.
