On a real cross country evening of wind, rain and lots of mud,
the two Bolton School Junior Boys' teams performed admirably,
winning the Year 5/Year 6 race and coming second in the Year 3/Year
4 race in the Bolton Primary Schools' Cross Country
Championship.
In the Y5/Y6 race there were top ten finishes for Edward Joyce
(3rd) and David Price (6th), out of a field
of 120 runners; in the Y3/Y4 race, Sam Croston finished
6th, Nick Round finished 7th and Harrison
Barker-Smith came in 10th, out of a field of 84
runners.
The boys had also won the Bolton Primary Schools' Cross Country
League earlier in the academic year.
Edward Joyce, David Price and Elliot Makin (11th in
the Y5/Y6 race) have been invited to represent Bolton at the
Greater Manchester Championships on Saturday 14 March.
