Bolton School Junior Boys have raised £5,867.91 for Bolton
Hospice and in memory of Brian Stevens, who died there last
year. James Stevens, son of Brian, is a pupil in the Junior
School and he and his classmates undertook a
sponsored fancy dress fun run in order to raise the money.
Mrs Eileen Thomasson, Community Fundraiser for Bolton Hospice,
was delighted to receive such a large cheque from a school.
Mrs Thomasson spoke in the boys' assembly about the work of the
hospice.
