As part of their Citizenship studies, Year 6 boys at Bolton
School enjoyed an afternoon at Bolton's Town Hall.
They received a guided tour of the Town Hall and were
entertained by the Mayor, Councillor Walter Hall and the Lady
Mayoress. In what was a very enjoyable afternoon, the boys learnt
about the history of Bolton and famous townsmen like Lord
Leverhulme. They heard about the silverware on display and
inspected the Lord Mayor's Gold Chains and badges. They
also visited the Council Chamber and gained an insight into the
election and workings of the Council.
