Bolton School Junior Boys filled the Boys' Division Great Hall
with a host of festive music and song in their Annual Christmas
Carol Service.
The hall was packed with family and friends who
enjoyed performances of 'Away in a Manger', 'Infant Holy' and 'When
will we see the Little One' from the Lower School Choir, 'Panis
Angelicus' and 'Midwinter' from the Upper School Choir, and whole
school renditions of 'Tell Out the News' and 'Rejoice and be
Merry'. Along with the carols the audience were treated to a
vibrant Christmas Medley from the Recorder Group, a performance of
'Mary had a Baby' by the Strings Group, and several Christmas
readings from the boys.
The audience joined in throughout the service with hymns and
carols including favourites 'Once in Royal David's City', 'O Little
Town of Bethlehem', 'Hark the Herald Angels Sing' and 'O Come All
Ye Faithful', and Mr Whittaker, Head of Junior Boys, finished the
service with prayers and blessing.
At the end of the service, there was a collection for Send a
Cow- a Christian Charity that runs agricultural programmes in nine
African Countries to help farmers overcome poverty and
malnutrition.
