Boys from Bolton School performed exceptionally well at the
North West Biathlon Championships, which took place at the Palatine
Leisure Centre, Blackpool on 12 November 2006. The gruelling test
of running and swimming stamina saw nine pupils progress to the
National Finals on 25 February 2007 at the University of Bath.
The Junior Boys' Division will be represented individually by
Sam Hart of Year 5, and at Year 6 both individually by Andrew Keat
and in the team competition by Andrew Keat, Robert Gliddon and
James Barker.
The Senior Boys' School will be represented at Year 7 by Oliver
Walker and Callum Kay, at Year 8 by Tom Higgins, at Year 9 by Sam
Higgins and by Peter Lucas at Year 11.
In 2006 the Junior Boys' School was British Biathlon and
Sefton Triathlon Champions.
