By using a variety of teaching and learning styles we make sure
that all our pupils enjoy their daily maths lesson regardless of
ability. Whole class and group teaching are central to every lesson
and the children's learning is supported by an extensive range of
practical resources. We also encourage our pupils to ask
mathematical questions as well as to answer them!
All our classes contain children of differing abilities in
maths. We recognise this fact, providing appropriate tasks for each
individual and help from our Learning Support Assistants wherever
it is required. By using a range of strategies we are able to
provide encouragement and reinforcement for the less confident
while extending those who enjoy the challenge of more demanding
tasks.
I find mathematics challenging in a fun way. It really
makes you think.
