Once again the Junior Department of Bolton School Girls'
Division has played host to the annual Association of Junior
Independent Schools' (AJIS) Netball Tournament.
The competition, run at the School's netball pitches at the
Leverhulme Pavilion, proved as popular as ever with 20 independent
schools from across the North-West sending teams.
Bolton School's A team made it through to the Plate semi-finals
but went out, losing 6-5 to the King's School
in Macclesfield.
The overall winners of the competition were St Bede's, who
overcame Bury Grammar School Girls 7-5 in the final.
The winners of the runners-up prize, the Plate, were
Estcourt who overcame King's Macc 13-1.
The prize for best effort from a "smaller school" went to
Birkenhead.
