Two teams of Bolton School Junior Girls attended the AJIS Athletics competition. The Year 5 team included Amelia Cowin, Molly Grimshaw, Charlotte Harris and Pip Nuttall while the Year 6 team was made up of Aaminah Ali, Harriet Dickens, Ruby Hassall and Jade Sprott.

The girls competed across a range of events, achieving podium positions in five of them. Ruby came third in the 150m, Charlotte third in the 600m, and Pip came away with two individual medals: third in the High Jump and second in the 150m.

However, it was the Year 5 relay team who amazed everyone. They were in fifth or sixth position when Pip, as the fourth leg, took the baton. At 50m she was around 20m behind the first position, but managed to catch up just as they crossed the finish line and won first place!
