Girls Get Bolton League and Championship Double

Bolton School Junior Girls are celebrating a double success after winning both the Bolton Primary Schools' Cross Country League and Championship.

The Year 5/6 girls finished top of the league ahead of St Saviors in second and Walmsley in third. The team also took part in the Championship event at Moss Bank Park where the team again ran in first.

As a result of their performance in the league, six girls - Amy Haslam, Ellie Bridge, Elspeth Harper, Maddy Kennedy, and Mabel Horridge - have been chosen as part of the Bolton Team for the Greater Manchester Primary Championship on Saturday 16th March in Scholes Park, Gatley.

The Cross Country League Team was Amy Haslam, Mabel Horridge, Maddie Kennedy, Amy Chicken, Zoe Grainger, Lauren Whitaker, Lucinda Butterworth, Ellie Bridge, Elspeth Harper, Abigail Duckworth, Elizabeth Warburton, Olivia Stubbs, Rachel Funk, Elizabeth Lees, Isabella Forshaw, Liberty Giggs and Arabella Barker-Smith.

The Cross Country Championship Team was Ellie Bridge, Elspeth Harper, Abigail Duckworth, Maddie Kennedy, Mabel Horridge and Amy Haslam.
