Bolton School Junior Girls from Years 5 and 6 represented the
Girls' Division at the regional qualifying event of
the British Schools' Biathlon competition, held in Liverpool
on Sunday 8th November.
The Girls each completed a 500m run and 50m swimming event in
order to gain a place in the National final. All the girls
put in excellent performances, and four girls were presented with
trophies for ranking 1st-6th place individually in their year
group. From Year 5 Louisa Brophy was 2nd, Hannah Stephenson was 4th
and Grace Haskins was 6th, and in Year 6 Molly Dick was 6th.
Each Year was also split into teams and the Year 5 'A', 'B' and
'C' teams all received winners medals for finishing in 1st, 2nd and
3rd place respectively, as did the Year 6 'A' team who finished
1st. The Year 6 'B' team finished 4th overall.
The girls will now wait until all qualifiers are completed to
hear if they have qualified for the National final, to be held in
